Being Nonjudgmental in Chaotic Times

Keeping your judgments in check

Since 2020, it seems as though there is something chaotic happening every day. Remember 2019 when everything seemed “normal”? It is easy to pass judgment on those we disagree with between the pandemic, the vaccination, and politics.

Social media is an excellent example of how our emotions can get the best of us. Ever since people have realized you can easily access others and whatever they fashion as the news, social media has been an outlet to show people how serious you are about a subject.

However, there will be or most likely has been someone you absolutely don’t agree with and even ask yourself, “Is this person worth keeping on my feed?” Then you decide to keep them. This is not always the easiest decision.

Why are they like that, though?

Let’s be honest; we all know that person or people we disagree with and cannot fathom how on Earth they could have the opinions they do.

Disagreeing with others is a part of the human experience. How we deal with those disagreements is what matters, and right now, we are seeing the extreme.

Let’s unravel why we judge others in the first place.
